// join the foundry

We're building ventures. Come build with us.

We're looking for exceptional people who want to do more than fill a role. If you want to build real products, work directly with founders, and help create companies from scratch — we want to hear from you.

Venture Architect (Technical Lead)

CairoFull-timeOn-site

The technical backbone of The Foundry. You will work directly with the founder and a small group of builders to design and build the first versions of new ventures.

The Role

We are looking for one person to take on this role.

You will become the technical backbone of The Foundry.

You will work directly with the founder and a small group of builders to design and build the first versions of new ventures.

You will also have direct access to the leadership teams of the businesses backing The Foundry. They provide operational insight, domain expertise, and real-world environments where new ventures can be built and tested.

Few technical roles offer this level of exposure.

What the Work Looks Like

A partner company presents an operational challenge with real economic value.

You help translate that opportunity into a technology product.

The first version is built quickly.

It is deployed inside the partner business.

If the solution proves valuable, it evolves into a venture.

At the same time, other opportunities are being explored.

Over time you will help build the technical foundations of multiple startups.

What We're Looking For

Someone who has been building software seriously for at least five years.

Strong full-stack capability — you can own a product end to end.

Comfortable with AI-native development. Using language models as a core part of how you build is not new to you.

Able to operate without perfect specifications. You find a way.

Curious about how businesses actually operate, not just how systems work.

Someone who takes ownership and does not wait to be told what to do.

What Makes This Role Different

You will not spend years maintaining a single product.

You will help build multiple ventures.

You will work directly with the founder of The Foundry and the leadership teams of some of Egypt’s most established businesses.

You will gain exposure not only to engineering decisions, but also to how technology companies are conceived, structured, and grown.

We are not just developing engineers here. We are developing founders.

If This Sounds Interesting

Send us your CV along with something you have built.

A product, a GitHub repository, or a project you are proud of.

We care far more about what you have created than the companies listed on your resume.

Venture Operator (Execution Lead)

CairoFull-timeOn-site

Turn working products into working businesses. You will drive products from internal deployment to external revenue and help build the case for spinning them out.

The Role

We are looking for one person to take on this role.

You will work directly with the founder to take products through their full commercial lifecycle.

That starts with deployment inside a partner business. It does not end there.

Once a product is live and proving value, you will drive it toward external revenue. You will identify other businesses that have the same problem, find ways to reach them, and close the first sales.

If the product has real market potential, you will help build the case for spinning it out — shaping the commercial model, stress-testing the opportunity, and laying the foundation for a company that can stand on its own.

You are not a project manager. You are not a salesperson.

You are the person who turns a working product into a working business.

What the Work Looks Like

A product is deployed inside a partner business and proving its value.

You understand the problem well enough to find the next ten businesses that have it.

You develop the pitch, have the conversations, and close the deals.

You track what is working and what needs to change — and you drive those changes with the technical team.

You assess whether the product has the legs to become a standalone venture.

When it does, you help build the commercial foundation for the spin-out.

You do this across multiple products simultaneously.

What We're Looking For

Someone who has operated commercially inside a fast-moving environment — ideally a startup or a business with real sales pressure.

Enough technical fluency to have a credible conversation with developers about what the product does and what needs to change.

Strong instincts about what makes a business viable. You can tell the difference between a product with real market potential and one that works only in its original context.

A natural relationship builder. You move comfortably between the operational teams inside our partner businesses and external prospects.

Comfortable with ambiguity. You will rarely have a perfect playbook. You will need to build one.

Someone who takes ownership of outcomes, not just activities.

What Makes This Role Different

Most commercial roles sit inside a business that already knows what it is selling.

This one is different.

You will be involved in shaping what gets built, how it is positioned, and whether it becomes a company. You will work directly with the founder and have full visibility into every venture from first idea to first external revenue.

You will develop a rare combination of commercial skills and venture-building experience that very few people in Egypt have had the opportunity to build.

We are not just developing operators here. We are developing founders.

If This Sounds Interesting

Send your CV along with a short note on something you have sold or commercially driven — what it was, how you approached it, and what happened.

We care far more about commercial instinct and track record than the titles on your resume.
